| The Amida AL4000 has
become one of the most popular lighting sets in the UK because of
it's rugged build quality and outstanding light output. Unlike other
manufacturers, Terex Amida has pioneered the use of metal halide
projector lamps which produce a bright, white light of great intensity.
The design of the reflectors reduces the shadow effect produced
by conventional lights. The superb efficiency of these lamps can
best be illustrated by examining how they consume energy compared
with conventional tungsten halogen versions. The latter are only
able to convert about 25% of energy used into light - the rest being
wasted as heat. Metal halide lamps, on the other hand, are able
to convert almost 75% of energy consumed into useable light.

- Metal halide lamps offer 3 times the light output of equivalent tungsten halogen
versions (see tables below)

More Light
Coverage, Greater Durability
Amida's rugged
floodlight fixtures have a cast aluminium housing and Alzak reflector
with a tempered glass lens. A nose support protects the lamp from
vibration damage. Most important, the Amida floodlight fixtures
on each Terex Amida tower combine to provide an optimum beam spread
with minimal light wastage with spot and flood characteristics simultaneously
giving distant punch and forground illumination.
The fixtures
are securely mounted onto the mast for transport or can be left
on the cross arm. Also, pallet fork pockets and lifting eye provide
alternatives for easy handling.
